Welcome to Kickball at Perkins Road Park

Red Stick Area Kickball is one of the best ways to meet new people in Baton Rouge while staying active and having fun. Our leagues are built around community, friendly competition, and bringing great people together through sports.

The Summer Kickball League at Perkins Road Park combines high-energy games, social vibes, and a welcoming environment for all skill levels. Whether you're signing up with a full team or joining as a free agent, expect a fun, competitive season and an awesome community every week.

Game Days & Times:
Tuesday nights
Evening games (typically between 6:20pm – 9:00pm)
Game times are subject to change based on registration. Playoff nights may run as late as 10:00pm.

Season Length

Minimum of 7 total games (regular season + postseason)

Free Agents

No team? No problem. Free agents and small groups are welcome. We’ll place you on a team so you can jump in, meet new people, and be part of the league.

Register Early

Registration uses tiered pricing — the earlier you sign up, the more you save.

Game Format

6 innings per game (or time limit, depending on schedule)
Games are played on a set schedule and must end at their designated time

Field & Rules

Games are played at Perkins Road Park using Red Stick Area Kickball rules.

Kickball: 🔵 (yes, we use a blue playground ball — no soccer balls here)

Team Format

Co-Ed Kickball (9 players in the field)

Minimum roster size: 12 players
Must include at least 5 male and 5 female players on the roster
No roster cap

Gender Ratio:
5 males / 4 females on the field

Kicking Lineup:
Teams must alternate male and female kickers throughout the lineup

Teams may play short to avoid a forfeit but must maintain a fair and consistent gender balance.
